Car sickness

I hate getting car sick, the whole woosy feeling sucks. Greg and I took a drive up 84 through La Honda to the ocean. We had a great time, stopped at one place, took some cool pictures, but on the way back home....man those winds and turns were killing me. Plus it didn't help that Greg was taking some of these turns a bit hard (it's ok sweetie, still love ya). I am feeling better now....got some food in me. All in all it was a good day, which we desperately needed since Saturday was not a very good day. I was all moody, which made Greg moody. Then I went out to Lilliam's coronation. It was cool, though I must say I was very disapointed in my food. I mean, you would think a $13 thing of pasta would taste a little better. Plus, they put it in this over-sized bowl so it looked like I got the kiddie portion. I hate it when fancy places do that.

I've been tring to fight this cold since last Sunday. I went skiing with some kids from school last Sunday- it was great to finally get up to the snow again, but I was extremely tired. I was the driver, so I was up at 3am, had to pick up two people in SF and we arrived at Northstar at about 8:30am. When we got there I just wanted to go sleep in the lodge and forget skiing, but no, I had to get my butt out there. This girl Lauren and I did the green and blue runs together since neither of us had been skiing in a while. It was fun, though my body was aching and my poor feet were killing me. I think I need new boots. We were both done by 11:30am, went to the lodge to try and sleep, didn't work, so we went to the car and waited there for Colin to finish his runs. Anywho, this relates to me being sick because the whole day my throat was killing me, and I had no lasengez (?) or anything. Luckily on the way home we stopped and I got some. And since then my throat and nose have been giving my problems. I hope it goes away soon, I am tired of sniveling all the time and coughing. Tomorrow is my first day of school- I am excited to go back, I need to get busy again. I have been bored lately. Wish me luck!!

"Can you vouch for him?"

I had never been asked this question before, but I guess Greg is a suspicious looking guy that needs "vouching." When we went to MacWorld and were picking up for our free badges, the guy asked for our ID's. Greg didn't have any on him, so the guy asked if I could vouch for him. I proudly said we've been together for 3 1/2 years, and they accepted that. Then, the other day Greg and I went out for Red Robin, he handed the waitress his check card and she asked for his ID. Once again, he didn't have any on him. So she looked at me and asked if I could vouch for him. I gave her the same 3 1/2 year answer and that suficed. But now Greg was pretty pissed off that I need to be vouching for him, so she didn't get a tip. The moral of the story is if you don't have ID, make sure you have someone with you who can vouch for you.

On an aside I had a busy weekend. Friday night was my friends bday/grad party. (see pics on tree.buzznet.com). It was fun, I made these awesome little ice-cream sandwich cookies I saw on a book cover. It was chocolate chip cookies with mint choc. ice cream in the middle. Nummy. Making them proved to be hard as the ice cream was melting pretty fast, so some ended up swimming in minty ice cream. But people loved them and ate them all. Then Saturday night we had a party for mom. I got some really cute pics of the family- see tree.buzznet.com for pics. It was mellow, just pizza and soda and hanging out. Here is a preview of the festivities:

I Kick AAAAAss!

This past semester at SFSU I took five 4 unit classes, a total of 20 units! That's a lot, in case you are wondering. The maximum they allow you to enroll for is 19, beyond that you need advisor and dean permission. Anywho, so I have been checking my grades ever since Christmas, and today the last one showed up- I got all A's! (hence the five "A's" in my spelling of ass). I am so excited, I didn't even think I would manage all A's because of the work load.

You know I never got straight A's in high school, I always had one B holding me back. I know that some people do not think the letter grade is important, or that it reflects your actual knowledge, which could be true- but for me, it makes me feel great. And if I get all A's this Spring semster, that will mean a total of two straight years in college of straight A's. Cool huh?

So kudos to me *pats the back* and kudos to anyone else who had a good semster!

Kristine's BDAY

My buddy Kristine turned 25 on January 1, 2005. We went out to this bar called Riptide in San Francisco. Though I am not of the legal drinking age, yet, I was able to get in and hang out for a little bit. Mom said I should dress very "adult" like; so I wore jeans, boots, a sexy top and cardigan over it- it was too cold for the mini skirt and tanktop. I had my sister Karina help me with my makeup. She did a very nice job, and even styled my hair for me. The bar was pretty nice, brick walls, fireplace, and a moosehead. I only stuck around for a half hour because I had to go pick up Greg *wave* from work downtown.

In just about one month it will be my birthday, my 21st birthday to be exact. I cannot wait- not because I want to go get trashed every night. No, sorry, I am not into that. Really, I will just be happy knowing that I can go into a bar without worrying about being kicked out. A lot of my friends are of age, and like to have parties or gatherings at bars, and it has been pretty sheisty that I have not been able to go with them. But not for long. :)
