Long time no post....

Sorry for my blog absence. I have been super busy ever since we left for Hawaii...and once we came back I have been working, taking some summer classes and it's just been nuts! I have barely had time to actually look at my Hawaii photos. Anywho, here is the short, sweet version of what I've been up to. Work- still at Borders and sadly the position I was in line for...well I am still waiting. And I guess I am too impatient and don't want other opportunities to pass me by so I have continued to look for jobs elsewhere. If the one at Borders opens up first, cool. If not, oh well. I just applied for this position at Pixar- wish me luck!

School- I am taking a Cross training boot camp class 4 days a week at the butt-crack of dawn. it's a really great workout. Then I'm also taking a computer class to learn Excel with my mum on Thursday nights. The teacher is such a pompus ass. Damn community colllege jerks. He talks to all of us like we are babies and that we dont know what a computer is. Errr...mom and I do our best to pretty much ignore his yammering and just do our work.

Life in General- Is going great. Hawaii was wonderful. I swam with turtles, surfed (and got a really bad sunburn- ouch), went swimming with Greg, did a little bit of hiking, and mostly we drove all over the island exploring. (O'ahu). Swimming with the turtle had to be the highlight for me. A few down points- 1) the west side of the island is kinda crudy. they get no precipitation so it is all dry and yikkie. plus, it is the lower economy area and it shows. sad. 2) we went on a dinner cruise one night. the travel agent guy lied to me. he said sodas were free, and you got 1 free alcoholic beverage. when we got on the boat- only 1 free alcoholic drink- anything else was $3 a pop. we just drank water. and the boat itself was a little dissapointing. small, and not as fancy as in the picture the travel guy showed me. oh well. we did get some great pictures though and it was a really nice view of Waikiki. the major downer was that some poo girl got a little sea-sick, went running down the aisle (and greg and i had aisle seats) and she started blowing chunks, and some landed on greg's back. ewwww....we were all shocked, and i took his napkin, brushed him off, and made sure i did not catch any shrapnal. it wasn't so bad, not like drippy, super-chucky- just a few specks, but still pretty gross.

as for the rest of my life in general, i am just really tired these days. working out in the morning, then work for 8 hours, come home, barely have time to eat dinner and then it is bedtime. and i haven't been getting to bed on time either, so that probably is contributing to my lack of sleep. its funny, i'm done with school but i feel like i am busier then when i was in school. crazy.....oh- i am also taking up surfing. i really love it, and we have an ocean right here, granted it is really cold, but that is why they invented wet suits. so i have another lesson in july, and then i hope to purchse my own board and suit. yay. okay, i have yapped too much. hope this satisfies those of you who have been wondering "what's triana been up to?" i'll try to get some pics posted.... we'll see. aloha!

Super StAAAAAr!!

That's me- I'm a super star because I got ALL A's again for my final semester at SFSU! Woohoo! I was a little nervous about getting all A's, because I had this one teacher who gave only B's, despite the fact that our group nailed our presentations and sutff. So, when we got our dissapointing 88 on our first group project, we bugged this guy on what we had to do to get an A on the next group project. I thought we did really well on the next one, but then on the final exam- the teacher wanted us to know practically EVERYTHING from the whole semester. Not just the text books, but any anecdotal stories he told, and how they related to our class, and all our guest speakers, the movies we watched...it was intense. Plus, he has not given us a test yet in this class, so we didn't know what to expect as far as his style of writing the test. So on the test day, there were things on the exam I knew, and others things that I had no idea what they were. So I am really happy that i got my A. Yay. *pats on the back for Triana*
