Farewell Borders

This Sunday I gave Borders my 2 weeks notice. My friend from SFSU called me a few weeks ago asking if I was interested in an open marketing assistant position where she works. I interviewed, a few times, and this weekend I received an offer, and have accepted. Sorta, we are still working out some details. Most people have been very supportive, of course they are sad to see me leave, but we'll just have to hang out more. I wanted to talk to our GM today about it, I left her a memo yesdaterday on her desk stating my 2 weeks resignation, but our talk didn't happen. She wasn't in her best mood, and for this she needs to be in a good mood.

I am excited, new job, new people, new everything. It will be great. I'll have normal 9-5 M-F hours, vacations, benefits (super important) and I'll be working in an environment where I can use my skills from college, and grow with the new skills I am learning in graduate school. I will keep posting new information as I get closer to starting my new job. :)
