Craziness

This past month has flown by so fast, I can't believe my last post was about starting my job. Seems so long ago, and so much has happened since. the job is great. I work with cool, nice people, and I finally get what the company is all about. It took me a while, but we had some demos of our products, and it all made sense. The dimmer switch in my brain went up a bit.

School has been keeping me even more busy and stressed. Had to turn in a group-essay-exam, and of course we had some straglers that couldn't seem to get their shyte together, so of course the night we are supposed to turn this in, what am I doing- writing someone eles's essays. Granted, they were only about 1 page each, but still, it was like- I did my part, you need to do yours. Luckily someone else in my group helped and also re-did some questions so they would actually make SENSE. err....that was last week. Now, we've realized that we are a bit behind on our group project, but luckily so are other people, and a few items were cut from the "list of things to do" by the teacher so that makes it a little easier, but we still have a lot to do, and we have to do it TOGETHER. none of this, you do 1-5 and i'll do 6-10. seriously need to keep tabs on certain people. I'm not a student, I feel like a babysitter. (whoa...went on a rant there...sorry- you can see the whole situation frustrates me).

In other news...going to see FOO FIGHTERS Friday night with Greg- yay. I've been looking foward to this. I'm a little bummed though about Halloween. This is the first year in a while where I still don't know what i am doing, what i'll dress up as, and I still haven't carved my pumpkin! Luckily, Miss Lil and I are doing that one tomorrow after work, but unless someone clues me in on some party (hint hint) ...I'll be laying low this weekend.

Marketing Assistant

Today was my first day at my new job as a marketing assistant. They wasted no time putting me to work, my pal Charrise (who works there and hooked me up with the job) had been telling me that they desperately needed someone because tons of work was piling up. I am happy to oblige. The people are pretty nice too. I met most everyone in the office, had to write some names down on post-its so I'll remember.

For lunch my boss, Lynne, took me and 2 other coworkers out for burgers and beer. Cool. I am really excited about this job. It will lead to all sorts of great opportunities, with good money to be made, and hopefully some traveling involved.

OMG- so this evening I had to get my passport and SS card so I can do the HR paperwork tomorrow, and I could not find my damn SS card!! I had kept it in 2 places before, and I thought it was still there, but i checked those two places (once I fricken figured out where THOSE were) and it wasn't there. I was starting to get really nervous and mad that i would have hidden it so well, that even I couldn't find it. But then there- it called to me- and I found it. yay! i exist! lol.

Todays Lesson- Hide your SS card well, but not well enough that you can't find it in 10 minutes or less.
