Roaming Charges

I almost had a heart attack on Tuesday when i got my phone bill. Back at Turkey Day when we were in the Reno area, I got a few voicemails and a call that I used the "roaming" feature to be able to connect for. I had no idea what the charges would be like, but I kept it all very short and hoped it would not be too drastic.

I have been waiting in anticipation for this bill and when I open it my mind was already expecting some large figure, and the first "total" my eyes land on is 553.00. I almost cried. I could not believe that some roaming charges which could not have been for more than 10 minutes all together cost that much more than my usual $50-ish bill. I was trying to be calm about it and just couldn't stop thinking about how much money this would be taking away from my savings for moving. Then I go back to the front page where I saw this astronomical number and look at it again and realized it is the total number of minutes(!!!) that i used last month. My actual total to be paid was only about $60. Then I cried a little out of happiness. lol.

Lesson to be learned, know how much roaming and other charges might be before you accept them!

Happy Holidays everyone! Yes it has been a while since I posted something, just been super busy. Santa was very nice to me this year, got a new backpack for my European travels, money (for Europe), giftcards, Son of a Witch (book, sequel to Wicked- awesome book!), USB thingie for Sprite (my ipod mini), and other cool things.

Working on the xmas dinner right now and my sister is making donuts. Can't wait to see/taste how they turn out. Time is just flying by. This weekend I am going to Reno to hang out with friends who live there for New Years, and then a week after that I am off to London for a week vacation/recon trip, which I am really excited about. Need to start getting my shit together and pack and start boxing up stuff.

That is my update for now, New Year resolution - to be better at updating my blog. :o)
