So long and thanks for all the fish!

*If you know what movie my title is from you rock*

Well here we are, the big day. My flight leaves in about 4 hours and I am happy to report that I am pretty much ready to go. Sunday night I may not have been so confident of my preparedness. I was running around like crazy trying to pack up all my shyte and basically realized I had way to much stuff and needed to unpack everything and re-evaluate everything, only taking what I really really need now, and the rest can come in boxes later.

It still seems unreal to me that I am moving. Sometimes it hits me, like when I walk around the house and do something I think, I won't be here any more doing this. Or when i have been saying goodbye to friends. Luckily the waterworks haven't been turned on too much. Only got a bit teary with some people, for whatever reason, but nothing too dramatic. I don't even think it will be that sad at the airport this afternoon with my family. It really just feels like a vacation, a long one. :)

I'll be sure to continue posting once I am settled in my flat so keep checking for updates from Sunny England.

Birthday Maddness

Last week was my Birthday and I celebrated as much as possible. Wednesday night went out to dinner with mom and Karina, on Thursday went to Yancey's Saloon for pizza and beer with a few friends, took Friday off and hung out with Karina (we went to the Aquarium by the Bay, walked around Pier 39, then watched Ab Fab at home), then in the evening I treated myself to a massage (soooo gooooodd), and Saturday was the big party day.

During the day we had the family & friends party at the house which was really fun. A lot of people came and most of them I won't see again before I leave so it was also a good bye party. Then at night was the "kid" party at Element Lounge. That was fun, we drank and danced, I drank too much and didn't remember a lot of the end of the evening but I was with good friends who took care of me and made sure I was safe.

Stayed over at Regina and John's place, and on Sunday morning I was up to go play soccer. Some of my teammates who were at the club were "amazed" I made it to the game, haha. I ws feeling pretty well actually, only after the game did I feel exhausted. All in all it was a really good birthday and I can't ask for more than that.
